About Us

At Fairway physiotherapy, we are pleased to help you achieve your goals!

We pride ourselves on being up-to-date on the latest and best techniques, equipment and training. Keeping on top of research is essential in advancing our services and brining innovative methods of care to Thunder Bay.

We also believe in being patient-centred.  From the start, you will experience the finest customer service we can provide, beginning with our experienced and knowledgeable administration staff.   They will help you get everything on track and secure you the earliest available booking time.

Our clinic was designed around patient care and satisfaction. We know that you have busy schedules, and we arranged our hours to accommodate you the best. This is reflected in our evening hours and weekend hours. We are located centrally in the intercity region of Thunder Bay, allowing convenient access from the Harbour Expressway and from Oliver Road. We are located on Golf Links Road in the Golf Links Community Clinic, directly across from Thunder Bay Country Club. This is within walking distance of both Lakehead University and Confederation College.

Fairway Physiotherapy has 5 exceptional and experienced Physiotherapists, 2 Registered Massage Therapists, one Kinesiologist, and two experienced receptionists here to help you. Consultations are also available by appointment with an Orthopaedic Specialist. We also serve as a teaching site for physiotherapists and provide placement opportunities through the Northern Ontario School of Medicine (NOSM) for medical residents and medical students.

Our staff have more than 50 years of combined experience in healthcare and physiotherapy services, 5 Master’s degrees and over 90 post-graduate courses to our credit. We also have two faculty members of the Northern Ontario School of Medicine, and one faculty at the University of Toronto and McMaster University on staff. Three of our therapists are Certified in Acupuncture through the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute (AFCI) and one holds a Fellowship with the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapy (CAMPT); only 2 physiotherapists in Northwestern Ontario currently hold such a Fellowship.  Another holds full credentialling in Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (MDT), otherwise known as the McKenzie Method; one of only 2 physiotherapists in Northwestern Ontario to hold this certification.

Together we have the knowledge and skills to help you feel better, enhance your health and fitness level, and achieve your personal goals.
